Meetings are held at 6:00 pm the 2nd Monday of every month in the Dalton Gardens Irrigation District office. 
If you want to address the board at a regular held meeting inform us through an email a week prior to the meeting. 
Payments can be made 24/7 via the mail slot on the front door of Dalton Gardens City Hall

ENCROACHMENT PERMITS 
for ALL BERMS, TREES, and any FENCE that is within the easement of the water mains

BUILDERS/CONTRACTORS/LANDSCAPERS
Any Permanent structure on property within the easements will need a Variance Encroachment Permit
Know the location of Irrigation mains before building ~ a map below shows approximate location of the Districts mains.

FENCE COMPANIES
We ask that you locate our mains on the map link below if an Encroachment Permit is needed please
retain one at the bottom of the page. use an auger for the first 2 feet and hand dig if the depth is deeper. 
 
EASEMENTS 
Do not Construct, place, or plant anything within (20) feet either side of the irrigation mains 
without prior, written approval by the  Dalton Gardens Irrigation District.
This includes, but is not limited to, buildings, swimming pools, patios, berms, fences, trees, and shrubs.
By-Laws state it is your responsibility for removal of all things built or planted over the  mains within the Irrigation District Easements.   
 
PROPERTY OWNERS
IF YOU OR YOUR NEIGHBOR HAS A LEAK PLEASE CLOSE THE VALVE AT THE WEIR/STANDPIPE 
USE STAINLESS STEEL OR GALVANIZED PARTS
Nothing larger than 1/2 inch NOZZLE SIZE ALLOWED 
 
(WINTER TIME) OPEN ALL VALVE AT THE STANDPIPE AFTER LINES ARE BLOWN OUT TO HELP AVOID BREAK
Notice on this site is given when the Irrigation water is off.

Please set your timers accordingly to the season

Shut off  date for the season is always weather determined and usually 

the first week of October.

Adjust your sprinklers to minimize watering streets!

WATER ONLY ON YOUR SCHEDULED DAY!

hand watering, drip systems, and watering gardens with a hose is fine on your non-watering day

 EVEN (2222) ADDRESS WATER ON  
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday  
 
ODD (3333) ADDRESS WATER ON 
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.   
 
Field Watering with 2-3 inch Aluminum Pipe water 2 times a week during normal temperature and water every other day during hot temperature.
 
Automatic Sprinkler Systems water 30-45 minutes once a day every other day, less time is needed in cooler temperatures, twice a day during hot temperatures morning and evening.   
When the evening temperatures begin to drop have your last station completed one hour prior to sunset, this will help prevent mushrooms and others diseases.
 
LAWNS The first mowing and the last mowing of each season (pick up clippings). The greenest lawn is set at the highest mowing during the growing season (this allow the stems to hold moisture during hot temperatures) and the result is a greener lawn.    
 
New Grass  CALL THE OFFICE TO INFORM OF NEWLY  PLANTED GRASS
Recommended  watering each area for 10-15 minutes 3-5 times a day (dependent on the temperatures for approximately 3 to 4 weeks. 
Then watering once a day for another 2-3 weeks until the grass is established
